Welcome to Beatlebook’s Archive: a personal blog about books and art.
Welcome, fellow readers.
If you have stumbled upon this blog post, I greet you from my makeshift desk — aka my dinner table. Sitting on a desk chair because none of my table chairs work, and I don't know how long I will be in this space, but for the moment, it will have to do.
I guess you're wondering what this is. Well, this will be our space for the foreseeable future.
Let me introduce myself:
Hello I am Beatlebook — and no that is not my real name, but if you do say it 3 times I will appear, most likely in a messy hairdo, clothes I have been wearing since last night, running on no sleep, with a caffeine drink in one hand (most likely an iced vanilla latte) and a book in the other.
I am a 27-year-old bisexual Mexican woman. Do those things define me, yes and no – but that's a topic for another blog. I am currently unemployed, living in my favorite city of Mexico– and no, it's not Mexico City.
I am about to be in a dramatic sense homeless, in a less dramatic sense, I am most likely moving back to my parents’ house, moving back to my small-minded coastal town. Sounds fun? It's not, but when you are, as it is in my case, lost in life, with close to impossible dreams looking for something larger than life, you don't get a lot of options when you hit rock bottom.
So in my desperate search of finding meaning in life, a sense of purpose, and fulfilling my long-held dream of being a writer, this is my shot. This might turn into nothing or this could be the start of something bigger than me but for the moment, it's just us, you and me in this little place of the internet, where I can write and you can read.
I don’t want to be an influencer, I don’t want to dance online, make skits, tell you to buy this product or that product because you oh so have to have it, or god forbid, another podcast. I’m just looking for people to read what I have to say. You might like it, you might not, you might relate, or you might just think that, “Here’s another burned-out millennial who thinks she has something to say.” And you know what? You are probably right, but I am still doing it.
All this to say that this is my blog, where I will be sharing parts of me and a lot of parts of books, art, music, movies, and whatever I want to talk about that you might want to read.
I hope you stick around, and if you dont thats okay too. I will be here waiting for you.
You’ve found the archive. Let’s read together.
